What to expect

Your session, start to finish

One private, unhurried hour in a quiet room at 131 Camino Alto. Here’s how it goes.

Before

Prepare

Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your session. Wear comfortable clothing — you’ll stay clothed and resting the whole time. Please complete and email your two intake forms before your first visit.

During

Relax

Small plates and probes are placed on the skin with a conductive gel. The Equiscope reads your body’s signals and adjusts as it goes. Most people find it calming — some drift off to sleep.

After

Rest & hydrate

Keep drinking water. Some people feel mild soreness or detox-like symptoms the next day; this usually passes quickly. Many notice deeper sleep that night.

Please check with your doctor first if…

For your safety, these situations require a physician’s consultation and written authorization before your first session.

You are pregnant

You have a pacemaker or other implanted electrical device

You take multiple medications

Frequently asked questions

Does it hurt?

No. Microcurrent is extremely gentle — most people feel little or nothing beyond a light tingle, and many find sessions deeply relaxing.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies from person to person. Some people notice a difference within one to three visits; a series of six is a common starting plan, and some choose to continue for ongoing support. We’ll talk about what makes sense for you.

How long is a session?

Every session is one hour.

Does this replace my doctor or my medications?

No. Equiscope sessions are a complement to the care you receive from your healthcare providers, not a replacement. Please don’t stop or change any medication without talking to your doctor.

Do you work with student athletes and kids?

Yes. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian’s signed consent, and a parent or guardian should be present for the first session.

Do you make house calls?

Yes — for clients who have difficulty leaving home, in Mill Valley and the surrounding communities. Home visits are the regular session rate plus a travel fee starting at $25, depending on location. Call or text to arrange one.

Do you take insurance?

Equiscope sessions aren’t covered by insurance, including Medicare, so sessions are self-pay. We accept cash, Zelle or ACH bank transfer.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment at no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged 50% of the session fee ($112.50 for a single session, $100 for series clients).

Where do I park?

Free parking is available on the street and in the building’s visitor spaces at 131 Camino Alto.
